Explore Website Designs for Multi-Location Shops

Which Option Is Right for You?

We’ve put together answers to the most common questions to help you understand the differences, benefits, and things to consider. Whether you’re running a tightly branded chain or a group of independent locations, the right setup depends on your goals — and we’re here to make it easy.

  • What's the main difference between the two options?

The Single Website option puts all your locations on one website — everything is consistent and centralized.

The Multi Website option gives each location its own standalone website — more flexibility, but also more to manage.

  • Will my branding stay the same if I choose multiple websites?

That’s totally up to you! You can keep the same logo, colors, and design across all sites, or customize each one for its local audience.

  • Which option is better for SEO?

Both are good! But separate websites can give you more local SEO power if each location wants to target different keywords or areas.

A single website can still rank well with a smart structure and location pages.

  • Which is easier to manage?

The Single Website option is easier — one dashboard, one place to update info. Multiple websites give more flexibility, but require more upkeep.

  • What if I open more locations in the future?

With a Single Website, we just add a new location page.

With Multiple Websites, we will need to create a new site using the same design to keep things consistent.

  • What if one of my locations closes or moves?

No problem. On a Single Website, we update the location info. On Multiple Websites, we can remove or update just the specific website without affecting the others.

  • Will I need a different domain for each site?

For Multiple Websites, yes — each site will have its own domain or subdomain (like shopA.com, shopB.com, or cityname.yourbrand.com).

For a Single Website, you’ll just have one main domain.

  • Can I use both options at the same time?

Technically, yes — but we recommend choosing one approach for consistency. If you’re unsure, we can help you plan the best setup based on your goals.

  • Will my customers get confused by a single website?

Not at all — we make navigation super clear. Customers can easily choose the location closest to them using maps, zip code search, or location menus.

  • What if one location is a franchise and the others are not?

That’s a perfect reason to use Separate Websites — each location can have the level of independence it needs while still feeling like part of a bigger brand.
